December 5th & 6th – Join Us for Our Annual Christmas Market Weekend!

Get into the Christmas spirit at the Swan Lake Christmas Market! We are looking for talented local artisans, crafters, makers, and specialty non-perishable food vendors to showcase their unique products at our annual outdoor Christmas event.

Alongside our artisan vendor market, guests will enjoy photos with Santa outside in his sleigh (by donation with Yolanda from Walnut Avenue Photography!), food trucks, fireside seating, live music, product samples and demos, fresh-cut Christmas trees, festive Christmas displays, and more!

❄️ Please Note: The Swan Lake Christmas Market is 100% an OUTDOOR winter market (featuring wooden huts, covered areas, and outdoor pop-up spaces). We do not offer indoor vendor spaces. Vendors should prepare for winter weather and plan accordingly!

Application & Selection Process

To apply, download and complete the Vendor Application Form below and email it along with product photos (and required compliance documents) to events@swanlakemarket.com.

Hut Availability: Huts are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please rank your space preferences (1–4) clearly on your form.

Rolling Reviews: Applications are reviewed and spaces assigned continuously throughout the application period. Approved vendors will be contacted via email with confirmation details and payment instructions.

🎯 Product Guidelines & Compliance Highlights

Artisans & Crafters: We welcome unique handcrafted goods, original artwork, local crafts, and handmade items substantially created or transformed by the vendor.

✨ NEW FOR 2026 — Preserves & Specialty Foods: We are now accepting pre-packaged, shelf-stable lower-risk food items (such as small-batch jams, jellies, pickles, honey, hot sauces, loose-leaf teas, spices, and packaged coffee beans).

🚫 Prohibited Items: Baked goods, fresh pastries, cakes, bread, items requiring refrigeration/temperature control, ready-to-drink brewed beverages, and hot food concessions are strictly prohibited in these vendor spaces.

📄 Food Vendor Documentation: All preserve and shelf-stable food applicants must submit copies of their FOODSAFE/MarketSafe certification and a Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing $2M commercial general liability naming Swan Lake Market Inc. as additional insured at the time of application. Incomplete applications will not be juried.

🛍️ Vendor Details & Weekend Rates

Market Dates & Hours: Saturday, December 5 & Sunday, December 6, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily

Mandatory Attendance & Both-Day Policy: Vendors are expected to have their booth open and fully functioning for the entire weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Booking a weekend spot and only attending one day is strictly discouraged, as empty booths impact the overall market experience.

Need a Single-Day Option? If you are only able to participate for one day, you must find a partner vendor to share the spot and apply together as a team so the space remains open and active both days!

All rates are for the full weekend and include a $3 processing/admin fee.

Walk-In Hut (Approx. 6.5′ x 8′): $63 ($60 space rate + $3 admin fee) — Enclosed wood hut, front door access, lockable, metal roof.

Concession Hut (Approx. 5′ x 6′): $63 ($60 space rate + $3 admin fee) — Enclosed wood stand, front fold-down counter, rear entry, lockable, metal roof.

Self-Serve Table (Covered Area): $48 ($45 space rate + $3 admin fee) — Space for vendor-supplied tables/displays under cover.

Self-Serve Pop-Up Tent (10×10): $33 ($30 space rate + $3 admin fee) — Bring-Your-Own tent setup (subject to demand).

📋 Key Operational Rules

Electricity & Heating: Electrical power is supplied for lights in huts only. Propane heaters are recommended for cold weather; electric space heaters are not permitted as the electrical system cannot support the load.

Overnight Storage: Locked huts may store goods overnight on December 5th (vendors must supply their own lock). All items must be removed by the end of the event on December 6th.

Sampling Protocol: Single-serve food sampling is allowed only via vendor-dispensed, single-use items (toothpicks, paper cups, squeeze bottles) under BC Health guidelines. Open self-serve jars are strictly prohibited.
